Yamaha, with a long history of 125 years as a musical instrument manufacturer, also has a high reputation for Hi-Fi components. The A-S201 was created taking advantage of this rich experience and high technological competence. Based on the concept of "Natural Sound", to reproduce all the music that actually sounds and built with scrupulous care of circuit design for basic sound production, despite an input model reproduces high-quality sound and musically rich sound.
A-S201, with 100W*×2 high-power unit that is above its class, features a high-quality sound design that minimizes the length of signal routes and optimizes circuit layout. Positioning the power transformer close to the power amplifier circuit reduces power loss, improving peak power supply capability to enable high volume output. Power supply ground and signal ground are connected at one point, eliminating mutual interference to achieve a higher S/N ratio. The result is sound full of clarity and a feeling of openness.

Enabling the pure direct switch causes the audio signal to bypass the bass and treble, balance and control circuits on the back of the amp buffer. This improves sound quality while maintaining full production capacity. Shortening the signal path improves sound purity, helping to reproduce even the most delicate musical nuances.
The A-S201 inherits the simple and sophisticated design style that made Yamaha HiFi audio famous. With an elegant front-line finish, it harmonizes very well with other Hi-Fi audio equipment. The volume buttons and operating buttons also show our commitment to simplicity and ease of use.
The A-S201 has a MM phono input and a terminal for connecting a turntable. A total of five input terminals means it can be the central unit for different types of audio systems. And its large screw terminals provide firm connections with thick cables.
A power management function automatically cuts power (switches to standby mode) when the amplifier has not been turned on for a long time. Can be set to 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours, or off. Furthermore, the power consumption during standby is only 0.5W, achieving good energy-saving performance.
