Marantz MODEL 70 – Integrated Hi-Fi Amplifier

The Marantz MODEL 70 is a 2-channel integrated amplifier designed to combine Marantz's musical heritage with the requirements of a modern Hi-Fi system. Featuring high-current Class A/B amplification, HDAM-SA3 technology and 50 W per channel into 8 ohms, it delivers dynamic, detailed and controlled sound while retaining the musical character for which Marantz is known.

The amplification section uses a Current Feedback topology and carefully selected audio components, powered by a robust toroidal transformer. Optimised circuit layout, Linear Drive power supply technology and aluminium heat sinks contribute to stable power delivery and low noise, allowing the MODEL 70 to confidently drive a wide range of loudspeakers.

For digital sources, the MODEL 70 incorporates a high-quality ESS Sabre DAC, together with optical and coaxial digital inputs. An HDMI ARC input also allows direct connection to a television, making it possible to significantly improve the sound quality of films, series, concerts and other TV content through a proper Hi-Fi system.

Wireless connectivity is provided by Bluetooth with support for aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive, as well as AAC and SBC. The MODEL 70 can also transmit Bluetooth audio to compatible headphones, providing additional flexibility for private listening.

Vinyl enthusiasts benefit from an integrated MM phono input, while other analogue sources can be connected through the available RCA inputs. The amplifier also provides a preamplifier output and a dedicated subwoofer output, making it easy to integrate an active subwoofer into a stereo system.

Source Direct mode bypasses the tone control circuitry for a more direct signal path, while bass, treble and balance controls remain available when adjustment to personal preference or room acoustics is required.
