SYNTHESIZER MODULE The Bass Station II is an analog monophonic synthesizer with the classic sound of the legendary original Bass Station but redesigned for the 21st century. It has two filters, two oscillators along with a sub-oscillator, sound storage and a completely analog effects section. Along with a step sequencer, an arpeggiator, full-size keys and a powerful modulation section, it has everything a synthesizer needs to make not only basses, a task in which it excels very well, but many other types of sounds. The Bass Station II signal path is analog (including the effects section). The hardware has been arranged in modules with dedicated controls for the main parameters. It can store up to 64 sounds and includes 64 preset sounds as standard. It is possible to store more on your computer. The full-size 25-key keyboard is velocity-sensitive with assignable aftertouch. It has MIDI I/O and MIDI via USB. As it is also a Class Compliant device, it works with any device as soon as you connect it to the computer. The Synthesis Engine: Oscillators: Bass Station II has three oscillators and a noise generator. Two of the oscillators are completely independent and the third is a sub oscillator (critical component for creating rich analog bass sounds). The waveform of oscillators 1 and 2 can be switched between sine, sawtooth, square and pulse width. The sub oscillator waveform can be set 1 or 2 octaves lower than Oscillator 1 and offers narrow width square and pulse waveforms, capable of delivering that characteristic bass tone.
