PROFESSIONAL SYNTHESIZER KEYBOARD The Nord Wave 2 is a powerful 4-part synthesizer that combines virtual analog synthesis, samples, FM and wavetable with an intuitive layer-centric interface and a 61-key keyboard with Aftertouch. OLED displays for the Program and Oscillator sections provide an excellent overview when shaping your sounds. The wide range of performance features and instantly adjustable effects make the Wave 2 the most versatile live synthesizer. The NORD Wave 2 offers a Program Layer section with faders to easily control the volume or pan of all 4 layers at once. The new Group function allows you to group 2, 3 or 4 layers and process them through the same filter, envelope, arpeggiator, LFO and effects. The Oscillator section for each of the 4 layers offers 4 modes: Analog, Wavetable, FM and Samples, and can be easily explored thanks to the new direct category mode. Oscillator control offers additional control over waveform, timing or detune.

Create and transfer your own samples. Adding your own custom instruments has never been easier thanks to the new Nord Sample Editor 3 optimized for Mac and Windows that lets you map, loop and transfer samples to your Nord Wave 2 in an instant. The Filter section features 6 filter types, including a stunning emulation of the legendary Mini's transistor ladder filter. This section is equipped with a full ADSR envelope.

The Wave 2 offers an LFO with a selection of waveforms for each layer. Vibrato plus AD/AR envelope modulation with inverted and speed adjustment modes. The LFO has several editable parameters, and the frequency can be synchronized with the system's Master clock. The amp section is equipped with a full ADSR envelope that includes a powerful new transient attack mode to add more punch to your sounds.

The Nord Wave 2 offers a wide range of editable parameters including LFO intensity, oscillator control, filter and effects that can be controlled from four different sources: Velocity, Aftertouch, Wheel and Control Pedal. All modulation sources can be quickly assigned to control multiple parameters simultaneously and the powerful Impulse Morph function allows you to instantly change any parameter of your sound. The Wave 2 is a rhythmic powerhouse thanks to its classic arpeggiator and polyphonic mode with directly editable patterns that will activate all keys pressed directly or according to the pattern, including different inversions for exciting harmonic variations. The new Gate mode cuts your sound into a rhythmic pattern with adjustable depth. Pattern mode contains a wide selection of rhythm patterns and allows you to easily edit them to create your own custom patterns.

A separate effects section for each layer offers instantly editable high-quality stereo effects including Tremolo, Pan, Ring Modulator, Chorus, Ensemble and Vibe, as well as an EQ with Drive.

Separate Reverb section layer with five different reverb sizes (booth, hall, stage, hall and new cathedral), Bright and Dark modes, and a new Chorale effect for lush modulation.
