The Gemini II is sE Electronics' tribute to the classic era of tube microphones. This large-diaphragm cardioid condenser has that signature warmth and weight to its sound, courtesy of a 12AX7 input tube, while boasting an unattenuated presence range. Where most microphones have an output transformer, a 12AU7 tube has been added in its place, giving the Gemini II the pristine top end you would expect from an expensive solid-state microphone. Its low-cut switch and switchable -10 dB attenuator let it shine on a variety of sources. From drums, acoustic guitars, to the brilliance of cymbals, or the intimacy of a cello, the Gemini II will not disappoint.
