With the launch of the Shanling ET3 the Asian firm is building a line of compact top-loading CD players.

While the previous Shanling EC3 was designed to be a kind of multifunctional CD player for a wide range of users, the Shanling ET3 is a much more focused device and designed for one clear use: to be ahigh-quality digital transport for high-end DACs.

This CD player offers a range of standard digital outputs, but also adds a more advanced I2S output and even a USB output. Enabling the transport of super high resolution files, above the limits of standard optical or coaxial outputs, the ET3 can read these high resolution files from connected USB drives or can be used in conjunction with local wireless networking and DLNA streaming.
