The FiiO JH5 are the brand's in-ear headphones with a structure of 1 dynamic driver and 4 BA, following a three-way design. It features a dynamic carbon driver and four customized Balanced-Armature for a sound response capable of staying between balance and forcefulness.
Its design, based onhigh-precision 3D printing, gives rise to a light and stylish capsule. In addition, it integrates a detachable 2-pin 0.78 cable so you can keep the cable for years.
Thus, these JH5 lead the line of IEMs in the entry range with magnificent audio definition and a design designed for all users.
The quality of the dynamic transducer is especially important in hybrid IEMs, as it is the basis of their sound.
The JH5's 10mm carbon dynamic driver is similar to those used in FiiO's popular "Little Conch" headphone series. However, this driver has been fine-tuned even further, making it a second-generation model that has design. The carbon-based driver can move quickly, resulting in excellent transient performance.
To go beyond the typical sound of its class, special attention was paid to optimizing the dynamic driver in the development of the FiiO JH5.
It features a unique double-layer cavity that allows the inner and outer chamber damping control systems to precisely control airflow, reducing distortion and allowing the diaphragm to move more freely without braking. The result is wide, fast bass.
The FiiO JH5 is equipped with the second-generation asymmetric internal and external magnetic circuit design. Compared to the traditional single internal magnet or single external magnet design, the JH5's magnetic circuit greatly increases the magnetic field density around the voice coil, resulting in higher power for a more robust sound, as well as improved transient response.
Also, the JH5 uses powerful N52 neodymium magnets with a magnetic flux of 1.5T. Stronger magnets ensure a more uniform magnetic field over a wider area, resulting in less distortion even when playing very dynamic audio signals, resulting in liquid sound without any restriction.
To ensure that the dynamic transducer worked well with the balanced armature drivers, the FiiO development team borrowed design ideas from high-end hybrid IEMs such as the FH9 and FH7.
Two custom BA transducers handle mid and high frequencies. These two BA transducers were specially designed together with the dynamic transducer to have a resonance peak at 2.8 kHz, which also happens to be a resonance frequency formed by the shape of the human ear.
The result is not only a smooth transition between the dynamic and balanced armature transducer, but it also ensures that the transition between the different drivers also conforms well to the shape of the human ear, resulting in a more natural soundstage and overall smoother sound.
To achieve sound quality goals, the development team also equipped the JH5 with two custom BA ultra-high frequency transducers. These two UHF transducers were placed closer to the sound nozzle, which was made thicker inside, shorter and with a small curvature. The result of this design allows the FiiO JH5 to extend well into the treble, being capable of producing ultra-high frequencies. It will allow you to feel every touch of the instrument's strings, bringing you much closer to musical performance.
To achieve better sound and superior comfort, the FiiO JH5 case is made of medical grade resin that has undergone high-precision DLP 3D printing.
To achieve maximum performance and produce natural sound at all frequencies, the development team decided to take advantage of high-precision 3D printing by manufacturing three independent chambers, each of which houses a set of transducers that handle a specific set of frequencies to reduce interference between the different transducers and thus reduce distortion.

The FiiO JH5 comes standard with acable made of high-purity silver-plated copper wires.
Each 14 wires are twisted into a small holder and 7 small wires form one big wire. With a total of 4 large wires, the JH5 cable has a total of 392 wires. Each of the cables is independently insulated and Litz braided, which increases the conductive area and improves high-frequency details.
In addition, the 0.78 2-pin cable allows ample opportunities for future upgrades. The 0.78 2-pin connectors are elbow-shaped and the cable ergonomically wraps around the ear for a more comfortable listening experience.
