FiiO JH5

The FiiO JH5 are hybrid in-ear monitors featuring 5 drivers per side, designed for listeners who want a clear step up in detail, separation, and punch without jumping into much higher price tiers. The setup combines one dynamic driver for bass with four Balanced Armature (BA) drivers handling mids and highs, using a three-way design to keep the sound balanced and coherent.

At the core of the JH5 is a 10 mm carbon-based dynamic driver, tuned for fast transient response and impactful low-end. FiiO also uses a dual-cavity structure to better control airflow and reduce distortion, helping deliver bass that feels deeper, tighter, and quicker.

For midrange and treble, the BA drivers add clarity to vocals, sharper instrument outlines, and a more layered soundstage. The tuning aims to blend musicality with resolution, offering a lively yet controlled top end that works well across genres—from pop and rock to electronic and jazz.

The shell is made from medical-grade resin using high-precision 3D printing for comfort and fit, and the cable is detachable via 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors, making long-term use and future upgrades easy. It’s a strong choice for portable setups with a DAC/amp or DAP, especially if you want to get more out of lossless files and high-quality streaming.
