FiiO FX17: flagship in-ear earphones with 13 drivers per side

The FiiO FX17 are flagship in-ear earphones built for critical listening, combining an advanced 13-driver-per-side architecture with tuning aimed at a wide soundstage, high resolution, and strong control across the frequency range.

Each channel features 1 dynamic driver, 4 balanced armature drivers, and 8 electrostatic drivers, managed by a precisely tuned 5-way crossover designed for smooth transitions and balanced energy distribution between transducers.

Hybrid driver array: dynamic + BA + electrostatic

The electrostatic drivers are known for high-frequency extension, reaching up to a claimed 50 kHz, adding air and fine detail. The BA drivers (Knowles) handle mids and upper-mids with clarity, while the dynamic driver (with a lithium-magnesium alloy diaphragm) is designed to deliver impactful, controlled bass with reduced distortion.

Acoustic design and premium build

The FiiO FX17 use FiiO’s patented S.Turbo acoustic design to enhance bass performance while helping maintain a clean tonal transition into the mids and highs. The rear cavity is optimized with 0.2 mm vents to control airflow, improving bass extension and midrange clarity.

The shells are built from titanium, precision-machined from a single block and hand-polished for a premium look and feel.

Cable, connectors and included accessories

The FX17 include a cable using gold, silver and copper conductors to optimize signal transmission. You also get three interchangeable audio plugs: 3.5 mm single-ended, 4.4 mm balanced, and USB-C with built-in digital decoding and DSP.

The USB-C plug supports high-resolution audio up to PCM 32-bit/384 kHz, balanced output, and a high-precision 8-band parametric EQ. For fit and tuning, up to 22 pairs of ear tips are included.
