The FiiO FW5 integrates FiiO's various cutting-edge technologies to deliver a fully integrated, high-fidelity true wireless solution. These headphones are FiiO's first true wireless headphones with a high-end Bluetooth chip, high-performance DAC and meticulously designed audio circuitry to achieve a huge leap in quality in all aspects.

The new FiiO headphones mount an efficient AKM VELVET SOUND DAC type AK4332 with high-performance decoding. This chip is capable of obtaining a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 106dB, with a low distortion of -96dB and a dynamic range of up to 102dB. 

TWS headphones require maximum performance. The FW5 employs the high-end Qualcomm QCC5141 that supports Bluetooth 5.2 for stable, high-performance audio thanks to the chip's dual DSP and dual-core architecture. Additionally, the FW5 is Snapdragon Sound certified as a testament to its extremely high audio capabilities. 

The FW5 has been developed by the same FiiO R&D team that created the flagship FH9. 

They mount a10mm dynamic driverto handle low and medium frequencies, while the highest frequencies are reproduced by 2 Knowles BA drivers. These drivers work together to deliver powerful, textured bass while reproducing every last detail in the treble.

The new FW5s use PU as the material of choice for the gasket surrounding the dynamic driver diaphragm, as its flexibility and high damping coefficient allow for lusher vocals and faster transient response. 

The diaphragm of the dynamic driver is made of DLC, with very favorable properties such as high rigidity and light weight, to achieve the best sound performance.

For high frequencies, Knowles BA drivers are used for each channel. These BA drivers are placed in the sound tube near the ear to reduce high frequency loss as sound waves travel to the listener's ear. This design ensures that even tones like 16kHz are still heard clearly. 

Thus, the design allows the FW5 to feature airy and exceptionally detailed highs that capture all the nuances of your favorite music.

This FW5 reaffirms FiiO's commitment to being at the forefront of new audio technologies, thanks toLHDC/aptX Adaptive supportfor the highest quality in true wireless audio. This support ensures both a massive upgrade in sending and receiving high-quality wireless audio and a major improvement in compatibility with multiple devices.

The circuitry of the FW5 continues the design concept of DACs and amplifiers that feature an independent volume control system. 

There are 32 volume levels, for the most precise adjustment. When connecting the FW5 to the mobile phone, it is suggested to set the phone volume to the maximum level and personalize the sound through the FW5, so that we can acquire complete audio dynamics from the Bluetooth transmission process to obtain the best sound quality.

The FiiO FW5 incorporate 2 physical buttons to guarantee control of the playback and pause of the track independently. On the other hand, and through the rest of the controls, you can manage everything that happens in your headphones and not miss any of the playback.

To ensure protection, a 0.02mm waterproof film is placed in the space between the buttons and the case, not only to prevent water from entering, but also to ensure a good feeling when pressing the buttons. A custom water-resistant, sound-permeable mesh covers the mouthpiece and microphone openings to keep water out while still letting sound through.

Despite including a high-performance DAC chip, a high-end Bluetooth chip and carefully designed audio circuitry, the FW5 has a long enough battery to meet the needs of daily use. 

With its large built-in 65 mAh battery, the FW5 can be used up to 7 hours on a single charge. The 380 mAh charging case allows for a total battery life of over 21 hours.

When you open the FW5 charging case, the earbuds automatically turn on and pair with the latest device. When the earbuds are placed back in the charging case, the FW5 earbuds automatically turn off to save power. 

Both the charging case and the headphones have LED indicator lights so you can quickly know their status. The 4 indicator lights on the case not only indicate the remaining battery and charging status, but also indicate whether the earbuds are inside the case. 

Each of the capsules also contains a white indicator light that indicates the pairing status and other functions.

Each IEM of the FW5features 2 microphonesthat work together with cVc noise cancellation technology to achieve clearer voice calls and make communicating a pleasure.

To top off the experience, the FiiO FW5 comes standard with a set of balanced ear tips, as well as 2 alternative sets of silicones to emphasize vocals.
