The FiiO FD7 are the most advanced alternative in the brand's FD range, with a clear focus on bringing high fidelity to the in-ear format.
They feature a 12mm beryllium driver, offering fast and efficient transient response compared to typical titanium drivers, combined with a semi-open acoustic design that enhances soundstage width and achieves faithful, clear sound quality.
In addition to their exclusive finish, the FD7 come with a high-purity cable and three interchangeable connectors—standard and balanced, 2.5mm and 4.4mm—to suit any audio source.
The FiiO FD7 draws its aesthetics from a traditional Asian landscape painting technique, resulting in a delicate and refined design.
Its structure is based on the so-called "volcanic field system" developed by FiiO, which reduces standing waves and overall distortion. The semi-open design relieves ear pressure, ensuring a more comfortable listening experience wrapped in perfect design.
Close to the pure beryllium driver, the FD7 features a front acoustic prism system that addresses issues caused by time delays between different sound waves.
It effectively changes and precisely controls how sound waves travel through the FD7, improving the propagation of high frequencies and ensuring correct audio phase alignment.
The FD7 comes standard with a high-purity monocrystalline pure silver cable in Litz braided style. Four large bundles totaling 224 wires are braided into a single cable. The cable sheath is made from environmentally friendly medical-grade TPU, resistant to yellowing after prolonged use and to stiffness in low-temperature environments.
It also includes interchangeable audio plugs with a twist-lock for 2.5 / 3.5 / 4.4 mm connections for added convenience.
This cable for the FD7 was designed with angled, expanded MMCX connectors that underwent many ergonomic iterations and improvements to achieve maximum wearing comfort.
The FiiO FD7 include three pairs of interchangeable sound tubes/filters, each with a different inner diameter to provide varied audio responses tailored to each genre.
The large inner tube provides a wide soundstage, the medium tube impresses with balanced sound, while the smallest tube delivers explosive bass.
