The JBL 4312G is a relatively compact studio monitor that incorporates a 3-way/3-speaker front-port bass-reflex system based on the iconic configuration developed by the American firm in 1968. The most recent model of the bookshelf speakers inspired by the legendary Model 4310 control monitor, the 4312G has a 300 mm diameter paper pulp cone woofer whose powerful magnetic motor allows it to perform large movements with hardly any distortion, the result being prodigious bass and spectacular dynamics. For its part, the reproduction of the mid-range of the spectrum is entrusted to a speaker with a 125 mm polymer-coated pure pulp cone, while the restitution of the treble is ensured by a 25 mm magnesium-aluminum alloy dome tweeter with built-in waveguide. As is the norm at JBL, the aforementioned speakers have been entirely designed and built by the Californian firm, a feature that allows performance to be optimized. The 4312G is completed with two high-precision potentiometers located at the top of its front panel that allow the user to adjust the output level of the midrange and treble speakers in order to adapt the tonal curve to their personal preferences.
