The FiiO SP3 are the first active speakers from the Asian firm, which comes with a very interesting proposal, both technically and aesthetically. These self-powered speakers are designed to be part of powerful setups that need to increase their sound performance with compact speakers. 

These SP3 propose a structure based on a 3.5" carbon fiber midwoofer and a 1" silk tweeter, following a sound-absorbing dome design. With an output power of 30W * 2 + 10W * 2, FiiO's new active speakers will fill small and medium-sized rooms with good audio with an extraordinary response. 

The FiiO SP3 uses a 3.5" carbon fiber midwoofer, larger than similar speakers. These woofers project a larger soundstage, especially focused on enjoying music or movies in all their grandeur.

Thanks to the light weight of thecarbon fiber and the thickness of only 0.007mm, the FiiO SP3 woofer offers a fast transient response to reproduce the sound in the most faithful way.

A system of asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits is developed inside the SP3, allowing a higher magnetic flux that helps reduce non-linear distortion at all frequencies and magnificent performance with any musical genre or content being played.

The tweeter plays a crucial role in reproducing musical details. In these FiiO SP3, the tweeter has dimensions of 1" capable of reproducing frequencies up to 35kHz. The KSV copper-clad aluminum voice coil allows for clear treble reproduction.

On paper, the SP3's frequency response appears balanced. The bass extension reaches 65kHz, ideal for watching action movies or listening to tracks that require extra ultra-low frequencies for deep listening. 

In treble and midrange the straightness and smoothness of the curve is maintained, just as a truly HiFi sound should be reproduced.

After going through multiple different design options, FiiO engineers have managed to develop an innovative double diffusion S-shaped connection tube, which allows the SP3 to fulfill its double objective: being compact and reproducing high quality sound. 

For their part, the speakers also mount a second-order, 2-way active filter circuit, to more precisely control the crossover frequency and guarantee signal transmission, avoiding overload and effectively measuring the energy supplied by the speaker. 

When it comes to speakers, design matters. The FiiO SP3 integrate LED lights in the lower part of its cabinet, which are present from the moment it is turned on, creating a total atmosphere. 

The24-color palettewill automatically alternate and change in pulsating light mode, for your not only musical, but also visual delight. 

To ensure the best near-field listening experience, the tweeter should be at ear level, while its axis should remain within 15º of the ear. 

In order to achieve this, FiiO has developed a unique stand with a 7-degree elevation angle for the SP3 to achieve the most accurate sound for near-field listeners. This support is also made of silicone and acts as a shock absorber, reducing possible vibrations and impurities inherent to playback.
