The Cayin IHA-8 is the superior version of the acclaimed IHA-6. It is designed on a class A amplifier with four JEFT channels and the possibility of controlling the gain at high and low levels.
Complete with headphone outputs with XLR-4, 4.4mm and 6.35mm options, the IHA-8 also features Hyper Ultimate Mode for a special and powerful sound experience.
With compact dimensions and the best internal chips, this IHA-8 is a leap in quality and notoriety for your favorite headphones.
The Cayin IHA-8 uses a discrete four-channel pure class A input buffer amplification circuit. It incorporates a TI low-noise mono Op-Amp, and each channel consists of two audio-quality Toshiba JFETs connected in parallel with a constant current source.
This design ensures lower noise and distortion, as well as higher current and greater driving capacity. Integrated quiescent current, gain and adaptive power switching circuitry to improve overall performance and deliver an exceptional listening experience.
Hyper mode delivers the highest possible performance from the headphone amplification circuit. To achieve this, new adjustments and improvements have been made to the static operating current and operating voltage in Class A status.
Output power and gain have been increased while maintaining the pure Class A state. This refinement provides a more pristine and transparent sound, with a well-defined and dynamic soundstage.
Three different outputs cover the most popular headphone options on the market on the IHA-8. Feel free to use any headphone according to your needs and preferences, knowing that the amplifier will always handle your headphones satisfactorily.
The IHA-8 is designed to connect seamlessly to CD players, desktop decoders, portable players and other audio sources with line level output via XLR or RCA connectors.
Thanks to the Pre-Amp input and line level, this Cayin also serves as a built-in headphone amplifier when the LINE input is selected. When connected to a front-end with preamplifier functionality, it serves as a pure power amplifier when the PRE input is selected.
The volume control circuit incorporates a custom ALPS step potentiometercombined with a pair of high-end JRC MUSES7320V 130-step electronic volume chips.
While the volume is controlled electronically, it is adjusted purely in the analog domain. Its meticulous design allows a delicate touch and guarantees stable and very precise volume control.
A careful selection of top quality components complements cutting-edge engineering. The headphone amplifier circuit is powered by a discrete four-channel high-current, high-dynamic linear voltage stabilizer circuit.
The voltage amplification and the HeadAmp output stage are powered independently. An improved secondary voltage stabilizer circuit is specially designed for the JFET input buffer amplifier circuit, volume controller and other audio circuits.
A monolithic protective IC protects the amplifier via output DC detection, power-on delay squelch, power-off noise cancellation, and overcurrent/overcharge protection.
Protects the power amplifier and headphone circuitry from power on to power off, and everything in between.
The Cayin IHA-8 is a new member of Cayin's i-series products, sharing a unified design language with the iDAP-8 digital streamer and iDAC-8 digital analog converter. Each product can be used separately or combined to form a set.
It has a small and compact body, making it easy to place and combine with other home or desktop audio devices. With L-shaped aluminum cover plate, precision mold extrusion, CNC precision machining, fine sandblasting and anodized surface treatment, the amplifier has a uniform and delicate texture, which makes it durable over time.
The left and right side panels are designed as ribbed heat sinks. The additional surface area improves heat exchanges and thermal dissipation capacity. Optimized operating conditions allow the AMP to deliver its best performance.
