Description

Located just below the flagship of the Elysian range, the sensational Elysian 4, the Elysian 3 is a floor-standing speaker developed in response to market demands, which uses an acoustic configuration identical to that of its older sister, that is, 3-way bass-reflex / 4 speakers with bottom emission port, although with a more restrained form factor that facilitates its integration into a greater number of domestic spaces. As is the norm in the family to which it belongs, the Elysian 3 has a no-compromise design in terms of drivers, crossover filter and enclosure. As far as the former is concerned, we have first of all two 180 mm cone woofers built in intertwined glass fibers and coated with a high plasticity compound. The same structure, in this case with a 150 mm cone equipped with a central dispersion modifier that increases the linearity of the acoustic emission, is found in the midrange transducer. For its part, the upper part of the spectrum is entrusted to one of the emblematic AMT (“Air Motion Transformer”) tweeters, which stand out for moving the air in a very different way from that of a conventional dome tweeter, thanks to the use of a large folded diaphragm and very low mass, thus improving definition and response to transients. The Elysian 3 is completed with a crossover filter made with audiophile-grade components and extraordinary build quality.
