Description

Located at the top of the Revela range, this stylish 3-way/4-speaker bass-reflex column stands out first of all for incorporating the revolutionary “True Ribbon” tweeter, the result of exhaustive four-year work by the QUAD engineering team, in order to take the reproduction of the subtleties that constitute the soul of music even further. This transducer is complemented by high-performance midrange and bass speakers that, again, are the direct consequence of several years of research, development, evaluation and continuous improvements, highlighting the use, in the corresponding cones, of a new composition based on fibers and baptized with the appropriate name “Reveal”. Refined for seamless integration with the aforementioned “True Ribbon”, these cones have been selected for their rigidity and excellent damping properties. Together with an innovative peripheral rubber suspension custom-developed to facilitate large displacements without distortion and a high-power motor, this new diaphragm allows for perfectly articulated mids and precise, fast and deep bass. Let us finally point out that the management of the Revela 2 transducers is entrusted to a phase-compensated Linkwitz-Riley frequency divider filter, whose final configuration has been determined by combining the most advanced computer-aided design techniques with hundreds of hours of critical listening.
