What is "safe listening"?

Hearing is a precious asset that needs to be protected from an early age, since exposure to high volume even for short periods can cause permanent hearing loss. KidJamz headphones are child-safe with volume limiting technology to ensure that the audio your children hear is at a safe volume, so you won't need to constantly monitor them while they use their headphones.

KidJamz volume limiting technology

Standard headphones can easily exceed the maximum recommended volume by up to 50%. KidJamz has a proprietary volume limiting technology, integrated into the structure of the driver, to keep the sound pressure level (SPL) below the recommended 85dB*, keeping children's ears safe and allowing them to create healthy listening habits.

*The 85 dB limit is based on industry standard 1mW audio output, typical of a portable audio device.

Volume limit switch

A discreet switch allows parents to disable the volume limiter so they can use KidJamz in noisy environments. This switch is protected from accidental activation and switches between limited volume (85 dB) and unlimited mode, giving parents full control of the listening experience.

Designed for children

The best headphones for kids are the ones that kids want to use, so MEE audio has created KidJamz as a safe, lightweight and frustration-free headphone. The adjustable headband and vinyl ear pads make it comfortable and safe to wear for boys and girls ages 4 to 12. Additionally, the cable has also been reinforced to make it durable and tangle-resistant.
