Audeze has taken the award-winning design of its top-of-the-range LCD-4 and designed it with a special 15 ohm voice coil making it significantly easier to move than the originals. This model does not replace the original 200 ohm LCD-4, but rather offers a perfect solution for those looking for a modern headphone set.

LCD-4z has a dark and elegant aesthetic. Magnesium rings with golden highlights.  LCD-4z magnesium rings are designed to be strong, lightweight and resonance-free.

The LCD4Z is also available with Ebony wood rings as the 200 ohm version, but from now on it is possible to order 200 ohm or 15 ohm LCD-4 or LCD-4Z models with custom wood rings*.

Nano-scale diaphragm with almost no weight:LCD-4z features Audeze's most advanced diaphragm design; The nanoscale film weighs less than the air it displaces. This achieves a faster response that translates into better impulse response, imaging and the deeper and more accurate bass reproduction heard in headphones. Audeze has nearly doubled the magnetic strength: Double Fluxor™ magnetic arrays raise the magnetic flux to 1.5 Tesla, virtually doubling the power to drive the diaphragm for improved dynamic response and much higher resolution.

Accurate Imaging: Fazor patented waveguide elements reduce the diffraction of sound waves for improved treble response, transparency and stage performance. 

Near-Zero Distortion: The union of Fluxor™ magnetic arrays, nano-scale diaphragm, Fazor elements, Uniforce voice coil and other features allows the LCD-4 and LCD-4Z to deliver less distortion and more precision – typically one-tenth of typical headphone distortion.
