The HiBy R4 is the firm's new Hi-Res player with a futuristic aesthetic.

Its design is inspired by thecyborg-industrial aesthetics, giving way to a totally different device from what the brand has accustomed us to in its line of portable DAPs.

It integrates an ES9018C2M QUAD chip and class A amplification to offer up to 525mW of output power per 4.4mm balanced output. It is capable of decoding ultra-high resolution PCM, DSD and MQA 16x formats. 

With open Android 12 and a hyper-fluid experience powered by its Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, the HiBy R4 brings us an almighty 4.7" screen and infinite possibilities for customization and use ready to give you the best experience.

The unique design language of the HiBy R4 pays homage to elements such as cyberpunk. Clear, powerful geometric lines intersect to form the silhouette of a living, breathing audio machine, with the offset hatch design at the back adding to the motif of a retro classic set in the distant future.

A sturdy graffiti-designed lanyard tab creates an eye-catching appearance and practical utility in active/outdoor settings; The search for an attractive and youthful appearance is part of the objective of this DAP that leaves no one indifferent.

With an industry-first array offour separate ES9018C2M DAC chips in a combined array, the R4 has undoubted fidelity in digital-to-analog conversion, producing higher resolution and wider dynamic range from any source file, delivering smoother, purer sound. Supports native DSD playback up to 256 and PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz.

For the first time in a DAP, separate conversion paths are given with separate chips, LPF and power supplies, individually configured and designed for PCM and DSD conversion. The device firmware automatically routes PCM and DSD to their dedicated paths. The DSD channel more effectively rejects high ultrasonic noise, providing an improved listening experience.

In addition, it is capable of 16x MQA decoding to achieve the details of the music just as the artist intended during recording.

The R4 is comprised of 28 high-precision tantalum capacitors that provide finer rejection of power supply ripples for a blacker background and greater detail.

Usingwidely acclaimed Class A amplification, the amplifier is composed of four OPA1652, 2 OPA1612 and 16 triodes, and has zero crossover distortion for instant transient response.

The output reachesup to 525 mW/32 ohmsand the distortion can be as small as 0.0005%, producing a fine sense of music power as well as exquisite details.

The 4500 mAh battery delivers up to 11 hours of operation with 3.5mm SE output, over 675 hours of standby, as well as long run time under heavy screen, CPU and wireless usage conditions.

Being based on Android 12 with its excellent compatibility and stability, all major apps and especially all music streaming apps run smoothly.

HiBy OS is a system architecture developed internally by HiBy aimed at professional HiFi audio equipment.

Optimized/new components include system core, decoding system, audio DSP algorithms, media library management, external drivers, plug-ins, etc., optimizing the player for lossless high-resolution audio from scratch.

Control all aspects of the device remotely via WiFi on any compatible smartphone or tablet. Supports the operation of the HiByMusic application and third-party applications.

The R4 integrates bidirectional Bluetooth andsupports multiple high-resolution codecssuch as UAT, LDAC, aptX HD, AAC or SBC, among others.

It also supports 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band WiFi with stable connection for always-online music and supports DLNA/AirPlay/WiFi music file transfer.
