Transport Mechanism: a Story of Excellence

At the heart of the SACD 30n is an innovative new SACDM-3L transport engine, exclusively developed for the best possible performance when playing SACDs, CDs and music stored on data discs. This new engine promises exceptional sound quality from conventional CDs and SACDs, and allows listeners to create their own high-resolution audio discs using a computer DVD burner. When the SACD/CD source is not in use, the player's power supply is turned off to prevent noise or interference. |
Marantz Musical Mastering
| DSD is the heart of Marantz musical sound reproduction for digital sources on the SACD 30n. PCM and DXD inputs are converted to DSD at 11.2MHz using the player's proprietary MMM-Stream converter. The high frequency signal produced is processed by the single MMM-Conversion stage, used instead of a conventional DAC to generate the analog output. The MMM-Stream section of the process replaces oversampling filters commonly used in digital-to-analog conversion and allows the implementation of Marantz Musical Mastering filtering. Two system clocks ensure the most accurate conversion of the input signal, whether from disk or digital inputs, from 44.1kHz to 384kHz. This unique configuration is tuned for ultimate sound reproduction quality with a highly accurate signal using dual 32-bit floating-point DSP in MMM-Stream. Sigma Delta Modulation allows a pure DSD signal to be passed to the MMM-Conversion section in the form of a high-frequency pulse stream. The DSD-to-analog filter design feeds the Marantz HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) in the output stage for the best sound quality. |

| Enjoy music directly from your headphones with a completely redesigned high-quality headphone stage that integrates a dedicated amplification module using Marantz exclusive HDAM-SA2 circuitry with exceptional SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio). To be compatible with a wider range of headphones, the gain factor can be adjusted between three established presets (Low/Medium/High), making it possible to easily power low to high impedance headphones.
