The FiiO R9 is FiiO's new all-in-one system. After the resounding success of the FiiO R7, this R9 promises a unique evolution in the audio market.

As a device, the FiiO R9 incorporates streaming/decoding/headphone amp/Hi-Res player and preamplifier functions in a single device. It is equipped with a wide variety of inputs and outputs, combinable with 10 operating modes to ensure its versatility. In addition, it has an open Android operating system and a 6" vertically designed full HD screen.

Updated inside and out compared to its little brother FiiO R7, the new R9 will take your HiFi experience to the next level.

Inside the FiiO R9 is a THX AAA 788+ 8-channel headphone amplifier design. These headphone amplifiers, powered by a high-voltage power supply, are connected in parallel via 2x2 groups for a fully balanced four-way design, greatly improving transient performance.

Comb-shaped heat sinks and optimized circuit layout dissipate heat efficiently, ensuring that the R9 is capable of delivering continuous and stable high power output. The result is that the R9 is capable of emitting 7,300 mW per channel at 32 ohms, 102% more than the R7.

The FiiO R9 employs two ES9038PRO DACs, one for each left and right channel. Each DAC chip contains 8 independent D/A converters, and these 8 channels are connected in parallel for totally different output. The result is a precise and detailed sound.

The R9's internal power supply, digital parts, DAC and headphone amplifier reside on separate boards.

In addition, there is a metal shield to completely isolate the DAC and THX headphone amplifier sections. These four main parts of the audio circuit are separated on independent boards to prevent crosstalk, further ensuring that the audio signals being processed and their output are accurate, clean and retain their dynamics.

The FiiO R9 has an internal structure in which wireless connectivity has a special place.

Mounts the Qualcomm QCC5125 with support for LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs. Thanks to the Snapdragon 660 the fluidity of the device is fully guaranteed.

This FiiO R9 boasts impressive audio performance thanks to its five-stage audio architecture with carefully designed IV, LPF, gain, preamp and current expansion stages.

An important part of the audio circuit are the OPA2211 op-amps, manufactured using the silicon germanium CMOS process, which guarantees the excellent performance of the chip. The variable gain and variable supply voltage design results in 5 gain levels, allowing you to adjust exactly the desired listening volume. It doesn't matter if you use IEMs or headphones that are difficult to move because you will get a great listening experience.

In turn, the FiiO R9 incorporates a new long-life, high-efficiency, low-noise 40W industrial-grade power supply, which supports an ultra-wide range of input voltages (85-305 VAC) and is also capable of operating in a wide temperature range.

In addition, it supports external DC power supply, allowing you to pair the R9 with a high-performance linear power supply that delivers its own sound. When the R9 is paired with an external AC power supply, you can choose to enable Ground Lift functionality to reduce crosstalk for purer sound.

FiiO's new all-in-one system features separate power supplies for the digital and analog parts of the audio circuit, avoiding crosstalk between the digital/analog parts and achieving better isolation and shielding between the two parts.

The analog part of the audio circuit features a finely divided multi-stage power supply, including digital-to-analog conversion, LPF, pre-stage processing, amplification unit and other power supply stages. Each power supply stage uses many LDOs for secondary voltage stabilization, further ensuring clean and stable power supply.

The FiiO R9 features a6-inch tall vertical displaywith 2160 x 1080 resolution combined with the open Android operating system for a completely intuitive experience.

The open Android operating system not only allows the user to freely install and use streaming music and other third-party applications, but is also completely refined so that the user does not have to worry about application compatibility issues.

One of the new features of the FiiO R9 is the integration of the HDMI connection in its three alternatives: input, output and ARC, to achieve a very special audiovisual experience.
