The C. Bechstein Concert C8 belongs to the C. Bechstein Concert series — the brand’s highest range — designed to deliver a true concert piano experience, with outstanding projection, harmonic richness and top-level dynamic control. With its scale and presence, it is an instrument built for demanding pianists, conservatories, auditoriums and spaces where the piano must naturally fill the room while staying clear even at powerful dynamics.
If you’d like to explore other models from the brand, you can see the full selection here: C. Bechstein at MestresDaMúsica.
In a concert grand, the difference is not only about volume: it’s about how the sound naturally “fills” the room while keeping clarity, body and nuance at any dynamic level. The C. Bechstein Concert C8 is developed to deliver a powerful, refined sound with great presence, depth and a wide tonal palette — ideal for demanding repertoire and expressive performance, with authority and detail.
The touch of a concert piano must allow precision, fast repetition and fine dynamic control. The C. Bechstein Concert C8 is designed to provide a consistent, refined response, helping the pianist turn musical intention into sound — with stability, fluidity and confidence, even in more demanding repertoire.
In this video, a pianist plays the same piece first on a Zimmermann piano and then on a C. Bechstein Concert C8. Even when the Zimmermann sounds very good, the switch to the C8 is truly breathtaking — with more presence, depth and that unmistakable “concert grand” impact.
After the comparison, a C. Bechstein technician explains the differences and what drives that sonic evolution. It’s a great example of what sets a concert instrument apart: it’s not just volume, but projection, harmonic complexity, dynamic control and the ability to fill the room naturally.
This video is an introduction to the Bechstein factory in Germany and shows the care and precision applied throughout the manufacturing process. It helps you understand the build philosophy and the quality standards behind these instruments.
C. Bechstein Connect (standard / EX Works): in the Concert series, all pianos come from the factory with C. Bechstein Connect installed as standard (EX Works).
Optional upgrade 1 (extra cost): Connect Pro
If you want additional / more advanced digital features beyond the standard Connect system, Connect Pro can be installed as an optional upgrade. This option has its own additional cost.
Optional upgrade 2 (extra cost): Vario Duet Silent-System
If you need to practice without disturbing others, the Vario Duet Silent-System can be installed as an optional system to play with headphones. This option has its own additional cost.
In the C. Bechstein Concert series, you can choose from several finish options — from classic high-gloss looks to exclusive made-to-order configurations. In simple terms, there are 5 finish types:
If you prefer a wood finish, the Concert series allows you to choose Walnut, Mahogany or Oak, with either a Satin (low-sheen) or Polished (high-gloss) finish.
Exclusive Veneers and RAL-Colors belong to the same level of exclusivity and follow the same conditions: they are made-to-order finishes, delivery lead times can reach up to 6 months, they require advance ordering and payment, and once the purchase/contract is confirmed, cancellation or returns are not possible, as this is an exclusive product.
Exclusive Veneers are ideal for those who want a distinctive, highly decorative cabinet look, with either Satin (low-sheen) or Polished (high-gloss) finish options. The INLAY option (decorative inlays) is available only in combination with Exclusive Veneers and should be confirmed with us before ordering.
RAL-Colors finishes allow you to customize the piano based on the RAL K7 Classic palette (201 colors, subject to change by the manufacturer). It’s an excellent option to match an interior design project or to create a statement piece in the room.
If you are considering Exclusive Veneers, RAL-Colors or INLAY, talk to us before ordering so we can confirm availability, lead times and all finish details.
Delivery and assembly: we deliver the piano to your door across mainland Portugal and assemble it on site. If there are stairs or difficult access, transport must be quoted separately. For that reason, we ask customers to contact us before purchasing so we can confirm access conditions, delivery details and the final service cost.
First tuning included: for the best result, the first tuning should be carried out only after about 3 weeks, so the instrument can settle and stabilize in its new environment. If the tuning is outside the Viseu district, the customer only pays the technician’s travel cost.
If you’re considering the C. Bechstein Concert C8, talk to us so we can help you choose the ideal configuration and confirm delivery conditions, access, lead times and finish options.
